Buying Korean Skincare in Canada: Labels, Sellers and Shipping
Buying Korean skincare in Canada involves more than finding a familiar brand at a low price. Check who sells it, which market the formula is labeled for, and what the order costs after shipping and returns. Sunscreen deserves a separate label check because Canadian authorization is not established by an overseas SPF claim.
Verify the seller and the exact product
Begin with the brand’s own retailer information or contact the brand to verify a seller. A retailer’s statement that it sells authentic products is not independent confirmation of authorization. Match the full product name, size and ingredient label; similarly named regional formulas may differ.
Keep the order confirmation and photographs of the packaging. Look for a clearly identified seller, contact details and a readable returns policy before payment. Treat Canadian sunscreen labels separately
Health Canada says sunscreens approved for sale in Canada have a Drug Identification Number or Natural Product Number. Check the actual Canadian product label and the matching official record. A Korean-market SPF or PA label alone does not answer whether that product is authorized for Canadian sale.
This check applies to the sunscreen you are buying, not to an entire skincare brand. A brand can sell ordinary cosmetic products alongside products with different regulatory requirements. If the seller cannot identify the exact local sunscreen label, resolve that before choosing it for your routine.
Calculate the order you will actually receive
Compare the same size and quantity in Canadian dollars. Check the shipping origin, delivery estimate and whether taxes or import charges are included. A Canadian-facing website does not necessarily mean the parcel ships from Canada. Do not count an introductory code as the normal replenishment price.
