The best sunscreen is one you apply generously and happily. Korean formulas are popular for elegant textures, but wear resistance, local regulations and your daily exposure still matter.

Choose the protection label before the finish
For a daily Korean sunscreen comparison, identify the exact regional product first, then compare texture and your planned activity. A cream that feels comfortable for a commute may not be the right choice for swimming. We have not performed SPF, water-resistance, white-cast or makeup wear tests on this shortlist.
The American Academy of Dermatology recommends broad-spectrum protection, SPF 30 or higher and water resistance. SPF and a light texture do not establish water resistance: look for that claim on the exact pack.

Oily or combination skin
Decide whether your main concern is shine, a heavy feel or rolling under makeup. They need different comparisons. SKIN1004’s serum-like format is a useful texture reference, but the manufacturer describes dewiness rather than oil control. For combination skin, assess the T-zone and cheeks separately, keeping the sunscreen application consistent across exposed skin.
Dry or sensitive skin
Compare the complete formula with ingredients you know you tolerate. A cream-like format may be worth comparing if a fluid sunscreen leaves you uncomfortable, but texture alone cannot establish suitability. If you need moisturizer beneath it, use a familiar one while evaluating the new sunscreen. Check the moisturizer texture comparison before adding more layers.
How to apply and reapply
Follow the pack’s directions and use enough to cover all exposed areas evenly. The AAD advises application before going outside and reapplication every two hours outdoors, and immediately after swimming or sweating. Use shade and protective clothing as well. A high SPF does not remove the need to reapply.
Apply sunscreen as its own final morning skincare layer. If it pills under makeup, compare a simpler routine with fewer optional products; do not solve pilling by deliberately using less sunscreen. See our pilling troubleshooting worksheet.
Shopping checklist: variant, seller and destination
Match the complete name and SPF marking, then check the seller, destination country, pack size and expiry information. Our Stylevana links open the US storefront. Availability and regional formulas can change, so a familiar brand name or matching tube color is not enough to identify the product. Use the retailer’s current delivery and return information before ordering.
Compare the delivered cost per 100 mL
Enter two current offers in the same currency, using the bottle size printed on each pack. Prices are not fetched automatically. Include tax in the pack price and allocate delivery once; leave out gifts and samples unless they are the same product and size.
First match the exact regional sunscreen formula and labelled protection. A cheaper price per mL does not establish equivalent UVA protection, water resistance or suitability for your skin.
Formula: (pack price + allocated delivery and fees) ÷ total mL × 100. Use whole bottles and a volume greater than zero.
This compares unit cost. It does not rank effectiveness or predict how long a pack lasts. It does not recommend using less sunscreen.
