Editorial policy
Peony Seoul publishes research-based Korean skincare comparisons. We help readers identify an exact product, understand its routine role and compare buying options. The publisher named in our bylines is Peony Seoul; this byline does not imply review by a dermatologist.
How a comparison is prepared
- Define the reader’s decision, such as serum bottle value, moisturizer format or the correct regional sunscreen.
- Identify the full name, size and version using the manufacturer or an identified retailer. A similar name or photograph does not establish an identical formula.
- Link the source beside the fact it supports. Manufacturer performance statements remain manufacturer claims unless independent evidence establishes more.
- Explain the editorial trade-off separately: why a format or pack may be worth comparing, and what the evidence cannot tell us.
- For price calculations, record currency, exact size, seller, observation date and exclusions. Show the method so readers can reproduce it.
Testing, images and expertise
We only describe hands-on testing when it has occurred and can be documented. Our current research comparisons do not establish measured hydration, absorption, pilling, sunscreen protection or clinical outcomes. Product photographs illustrate the identified product; they are not evidence that we purchased or tested it. Credits appear with the images.
Ingredient information does not establish that a finished product will suit every person. We do not invent first-person experiences, expert credentials, endorsements or test scores. Any future named expert review will identify the reviewer and the scope of their work.
Selection and affiliate links
Shortlist order presents editorial options, not a laboratory ranking. We compare published purpose, format, product identity and practical buying differences. Commission rates are not a selection criterion. Paid shopping links are identified; factual references and shopping destinations may serve different markets. See our affiliate disclosure.
Dates and corrections
A page’s update date marks a substantive editorial change. A dated pack or delivery check applies to that specific check; it does not mean every price or ingredient on the site was refreshed that day. We preserve uncertainty where a listing does not expose enough information.
